Technological Advancements in Menstruation

Oh no! Is your period late? Or are you just forgetting your date again? Well, no monthly scares anymore because the future is here!

Period tracking Apps are now the norm and honestly so reliable.

Apps like Clue, Flo, and Eve have made it easy to monitor your cycle with just a few taps. The IOS system also comes with an inbuilt ‘health’ app which has this life saving feature! With a few clicks, within seconds, your cycle is now a part of you everywhere!  But they’re not just handy for period reminders—they also help track your fertility, PMS, and even ovulation windows for those trying to conceive (or avoid conception).

These apps are definitely girls’ best friend  because they're designed to evaluate your cycle so much that they'll remind you to take a break when that time of the month is coming up or even remind you to work out! It's basically like having a personal assistant right in your pocket.

If Apps weren't exciting enough, today we have wearables. From fitbits to Apple watches, wearables don't only count your steps and calories but can also track your cycle.

They track everything from your flow intensity to your mood swings, symptoms, cravings—basically everything that comes along with the package deal.

It’s pretty amazing to see how the data these wearables collect can give you real-time insights into how your body changes throughout the month.

Alright, here’s where it gets really futuristic—smart menstrual products. Yes, we’ve officially entered a time where even your menstrual cup can come with Bluetooth (a little too soon in my perspective but SO helpful). One example is the smart menstrual cup, like the Looncup. It connects to an app and gives you updates on how full the cup is, so you know exactly when it’s time to empty it. No more guessing games or worrying about leaks (literal lifesavers for us PCOD girlies).

Technology is making periods a lot less mysterious and a whole lot easier to manage SILENCING THE STIGMA! From apps that predict your cycle with laser accuracy to wearables that track how your period impacts your energy, we’re in the golden age of not only menstrual tech but menstrual everything!  And with even smarter products on the horizon, who knows what’s next? One thing’s for sure—managing your period is now as easy as checking your phone, and that’s something we all our ancestors have manifested!
